National Joint TERT Initiative, LLC (NJTI, LLC) Announces Leadership Changes

Alexandria, VA – The National Joint TERT Initiative, LLC (NJTI, LLC) announces the following leadership changes to the NJTI, LLC National Committee.

Effective September 27, 2023, George Long and Chris Kindlespire both stepped down as NJTI, LLC Co-Chairs for professional reasons after serving several years in this role. NJTI, LLC extends a heartfelt thanks to George and Chris for their hard work and years of dedicated service to the initiative and wishes them the best in their future endeavors.

Succeeding George as NJTI, LLC Co-Chair representing APCO is Jonathan Jones. Jonathan has participated as an NJTI committee member since 2016 and served Georgia TERT as the Deputy State Coordinator for the past five years. Jonathan is the Emergency Management Field Coordinator for the Georgia Emergency Management & Homeland Security Agency. He has actively participated in a leadership role in many TERT deployments throughout his tenure. He is exceedingly knowledgeable about the initiative and will undoubtedly be an asset in this critical leadership role.

Succeeding Chris as NJTI, LLC Co-Chair representing NENA is Brad Gass. Brad has participated as an NJTI committee member since 2017 and has led Tennessee TERT as the State Coordinator for the past seven years. Brad is the Deputy Director at Jefferson County Emergency Communications District. He has been actively involved in a leadership role in many TERT deployments throughout his tenure. He is highly knowledgeable about the initiative and will be a tremendous asset in this critical leadership role.


About the National Joint TERT Initiative, LLC – The NJTI is a partnership between APCO and NENA to promote the Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT) program and help states interested in creating TERT programs. TERT provides mutual aid assistance through state teams of trained individuals who can be mobilized quickly and deployed to assist Emergency Communications Centers (ECCs) during disasters.
